Fender Jazz King_ Jazz Ultralight

Over in another thread Teebird mentioned he'd like to hear one of those Jazz King amps with the big 15" speaker. I don't play Jazz but I'd at least be interested- Anybody have any experience with either of these amps???

The reason why I ask is that I just picked up and brought home a little SS amp that was discontinued, marked down, I had a store credit to spend, and it looked cool:

So I'm at least willing to give a solid state amp a fair shake....I'll at least plug in and try it

some others I've tried recently that weren't that bad....
Used Fender Frontman 65 for $180 at GC
Used Vox Pathfinder...so so
Fender Frontman 25 new...good clean sound, but drive??? sheeesh!

So, is there a SS amp out there that can do a respectable clean sound at least?

I had the Lightweight Jazzmaster with the little neo 12" speaker cab and it flat out rocked for about 12 months and then it flat out died on me !!
Fenders after sales were fine and i ended up with a Supersonic tube 1x12" as a replacement for the Jazzmaster that had written itself off big stylie !!

As far as i am concerned it had a great tone wether it's SS or tube it really sounded god, was easy and lightweight to carry but i just have to have something reliable so thats why i didn't choose to have another as a replacement, they are still very uncommon (over here at least).

Looks like your little Epi is fine though AND a bargain -- good choice.
