80's Fender Super Champ Power transformer Shot
I have a real nice Fender Super Champ from the early 80's.. After you play it a few minutes the power transformer heats up..& I believe its broken... Where can I buy a new power transformer for it.. Ive looked on line & havent found anyone who listed the Super Champ Transformer..

I'd have a tech check it first
before you go swapping out transformers, it might be something else.
While I may be mistaken, I've always been under the impression that a transformer either worked or didn't, so when they go bad the amp does nothing. At any rate if it is bad, there should be lot's of available replacement parts, Angela Instruments, Mojo, David Allen amps, lot's of places sell them and some even repair bad transformers as well. Lot's of amp techs hang out on the Weber VST BB's, why not post a query there and see what response you get. http://www.webervst.com/vstbbs/bbs.html |
