I just have the one. A Peavey Classic 30 that I still need to get a new speaker and tubes for. I had a Line 6 Spider II that I traded in on the C-30, and I returned a Fender Super Champ XD that I didn't like a few months back. I'm hoping to get a DR Z StangRay or a Vox AC30 sometime in the future.

Like several have said, too many through the years. But I tried to just hang on the best or rarest I could find along the way:
'57 Deluxe 5E3 '65 Bassman AA165 '67 Sunn 100S (kind of rare transition model, has the Solarus layout w/reverb & trem) '68 Marshall Super Lead (aka - Plexi) w/'70 basketweave slant cab '69 Fender Vibratone '70's Bandmaster Reverb/Vibroverb clone '70's Leslie 60 (Hey, it's got an amp in it, so I'm counting it) '70's Kustom 100 head and 2x12 vertical cab in Cascade (the rarest color!) Recent Fender Deco Tone (one of 165 or so) PRS HG-70 2x12 Combo (one of 200 or so) '83 Fender Concert (Pro Series - one of 100 w/oak cab, JBL, & brown face/grill) '90s Fender Blues Deville 2x12 '80s Pearce G3A Combo (one of 50) '80s Marshall 4211 (2x12 50 watt combo) Fender Super Champ XD |

Gosh, I don't know if I have GAS or jealousy after all that! I really want to get to the next level of my amp collection: The Fender Phase.
I'm convinced the best, and most collectable, Fender amps are from 1961 to 1964. Of course the Blackface era is the most celebrated. If you all had to make recommendations on the best Fender amps to add to ones personal arsenal, what would they be? The Fenders will stay at home and keep the Voxes company. The DRZ's are going to remain my live amps as they are new and rugged enough and cover the Vox-Fender-Marshall sound spectrum well. Kindest curious regards, Ward

1965 Vibra champ, Vox da5, and my favorite....a pignose. Man I love it, with the Proco Rat, it's pefect for the house, use it on my boat, take it fishing whatever and it has never let me down. Just got a Princeton 65.....kinda dig it.

I am showing this thread to my Wife!
She thinks I have a compulsive disorder of buying up amps.....
I am not alone!!!! Thanks Twangers... Currently 4/64 Deluxe Reverb - I'd give away one of my kids before I let this one go... Line 6 Spider III - for the midi stuff A couple of bass amps I bought for my son... Beringer Fender I am creating a new post with questions about an amp I just picked up if anyone has any thoughts or opinions... Fender Deluxe 112 SS... No glass, no class, but we'll see how this puppy moves air... PEACE, Phil |

My current amps are no where near as impressive as some of the others on here. Thankfully every one of the ones I have sounds great to me!
'73 Fender Vibro Champ - weber signature AlNiCo speaker '64 Kalamazoo Model Two - stock, even the tubes are original and sound great! Crate V18 112 - Upgraded reverb tank, old Mullard 12AX7 in V1 And last but not least, I've got two EL84 Silvertone tube amps I pulled from old organs. One has been modded slightly, the other is still stock. Both will get modded more once I have the time. |
