Can I connect Vox Pathfinder to Epiphone cab?

Stupid question. But just wanted to make sure before I bought anything. Vox jack says 8 Ohms. Epiphone Valve Junior 1x12 Extension Cab is 16 Ohms. Vox's little book I pulled out says:

a) Only use extension cabinets with an impedance of 8 Ohms or more (e.g. 16 Ohms) with your Pathfinder 15/15R combo. NEVER use a lower impedance (e.g. 4 Ohms) or damage could result.

WARNING: If you use an extension cabinet with an impedance of more than 8 Ohms your Pathfinder 15/15R's output power will be reduced - it only produces its full output of 15 Watts when presented with an 8 Ohm speaker load.

So will it very loud with reduced power? If you buy the Epi cab head can you hook the Vox up to that and still use the Epiphone cab so it'd work at full 16 Ohm level?

NOR, according to your manual, yes you can use that cab with your Vox. AS stated, the power will be reduced. Try it and see what you think. The volume will depend on the efficiency of the speaker as well as the output of the amp.

I am not sure that I understand your question....'Epi cab head'?????
Are you asking if you can hook up your Vox amp to the Epi Fr amp with the Epi cab hooked up to the Epi Jr.? You do not want to run from the Vox speaker out to the input of another amp.
Does the Vox have a line out? IF so, you might be able to run from that to the input on the Epi Jr. amp. Personally, I would just get the Epi Jr to run through the Epi cab and let that be good enough. The little Epi JR.'s are remarkable imho.

Should be fine. I don't know why Epi went with a 16ohm speaker on that one. I would have gone with 8ohms so you could have more speaker options. Are you happy with the speaker in the Cab? If not, I'd get an 8ohm speaker so you can use it with the Vox and Epi VJr. I'm assuming you have one.

Why the 16 ohm speaker? I don't really know why they did it, but some folks hold the opinion that the OT sounds the best when all of the windings are used. IT would be interesting to have the same speaker built in 4,8, and 16 ohm configurations to test that aspect.
