Pierce...patch it?

(An L.A. Confidential pun attempt that I've been working on for months..)

Paging Tom Pierce...Mr. Pierce, are you out there? I tried to email you at the usual address and it got bounced. I got an amp that needs a checkup and I thought of you right away.

Shoot me a message.

JAM

p.s. And yeah, it's the amp that needs the checkup, not me. That "turn your head and cough" trick isn't working on this guy again...

Ah, like it was yesterday!

The three gents on the right are yourself, Pierce, and myself. The fellow to the left is Dave Orban, if I'm not mistaken. I can't for the life of me remember who Bachelor Number Two is, though.

Hitchcockian cameo props to TDPRI prodigal Timbo, whose former band's T-shirt I am wearing in that pic. Where has that dastardly Lancasterian been lately, you figure?

I know where the 50 lbs went

I think I got 'em. Though I'm working on getting rid of them again. So in some weird TDP/Dorian Gray way, Norwine or Orban's probably chunking out a little.

Pierce: will email shortly.

This guy was laying down some serious funk grooves with George Clinton and parliament... as Mark says over the top is an understatement... They used to come out for shows in giant diapers... A lot of the stuff parliament did was great stuff... if you're into funk at all check 'em out. My StepDad's a pro horn player and did some stuff with them and Chaka Khan when I was a little kid... I'll never forget it, that's for sure...

He's on the Standing in the Shadows of Motown DVD too, got a great voice as well as one funky bass player. Showtime!
