Well, they certainly didn't go overboard on description.

Thanks for the alert. I am trying to find an all original (at least cab, tolex, tranformers, and circuit) brown Super or Concert. Doesn't have to be pretty, just sound great. I don't know why so many of these amps have had blown/replaced transformers.

If you live in the Northeast, try Lark Street Music in Teaneck, NJ. He has a 62 Concert with some pedigree that makes the price high IMHO. He's at www.larkstreet.com and I'm not affiliated with the establishment at all, I just know what he has in stock.

Yeah, those Brown Concerts

are amazingly soulful. I have a friend down in Boston
that owns one and all I'll say is "wow"! They sound
incredible with the old Premier brand outboard reverb
units, that's a really SERIOUS combination for all you
hardcore "Bluesophiles" out there to look into, to my
way of hearing that is the "real Texas tone".

Stebon,

The whole reason I am looking for an original brown concert is that I was JUST AT Lark st. music last Sunday and that amp knocked my socks off. It's pedigree is that it supposedly is the Mussle Shoals recording studio amp but there is no official documentation. Buzzy would not lie about that stuff, but there are no papers, so I can't justify the money he is asking. Great amps.

Muscle Shoals amp???????

somebody loan me a lotta dimes PLEASE !!!
If this be so (and I don't doubt Buzzy) this is (the amp)
that Duane Allman used for the Boz Scaggs cover of the
Fenton Robinson song "Somebody Loan Me A Dime"...
Mellow, what's he asking just for "grunties & giggles" ???
I remember a few months back Luther Perkins' Fender
Bassman 4X10 was on E-Bay and way outta my range.
Normally I'd NEVER even consider something like this
but a lotta the Aretha stuff was cut on this amp too
and who knows what else.

STM,
3500 is the price on his site. I am pretty sure it is "the amp", there is just no paperwork, so if you should ever want to sell it it would be worth half or less. It sounds great tho.
