Who can tell me about old Fender speakers??
I have a couple of old Fender speakers.
1098927 and 328530 I think the 1098 is Pyle? The other is Utah? From the 70s?? What can you tell me about each of these? Which is the lesser of the two evils as far as sound quality? Thanks. |

I don't think that Fender ever used Pyle speakers, did they?
Utah, CTI, Oxford, and of course Jensen and I think Twins at some point were available with JBLs as well. you can do a web search for "Utah speaker code" or "Pyle speaker code" to see if your numbers are either.. as far as "which is better?" there's not enough info being provided to say much of anything. what size are they? ceramic magnet or alnico? there's going to be opinions for anything, I reckon.

Ceramic
They are ceramic. They came out of a used Twin I have. The amp is from the early 70's. Speakers are mismatched not sure which if either was the original. I was just curious what anyone could tell me about these. The one that I think is Utah is the better sounding to my ear.
