Anybody had to Send an Amp off to Fender for Repair?

The Local guy says he can't fix my amp and it will have to be sent off to Fender. Anybody ever done this? I'm worried about the Cost and about how long it will take. Any Ideas?

Yes, I had a new Fender Champ 600 quit working after two years, brought it back to the shop I bought it from and they took it in for warranty repair since it has a 5 year warranty. After about 3 weeks, I got a call from the local shop that Fender just sent a new one. Picked it up last night and sure enough, it was a brand new one.

Which model? Some of the new ones, such as the Super Champ and Vibro Champ XD, are not serviced in the field because the cost of the amp doesn't justify the labor and reimbursement of the service center. The service center verifies that the amp is broken (not tubes or a fuse or unplugged speaker) and Fender just replaces it.

Repair shops may not be equipped to repair some of the highly complex amps like the Cyber series.

It's a "Pro Tube" Twin. I got it used for a little over 500 bucks. The reverb never has worked right. The Reverb pouch is not attached, the bag is torn. Sometimes it works great for an hour or so and sometimes when you engage the reverb you get static that is so loud you can't hear the reverb. The other day I was playing it and the "Amp Jewel" Light was blinking like a caution light.
