Vox AD60VT - Gtr Ctr Blowout - $399

G.C. is blowing out the Vox AD60VT for a mere $399. This sounds like a real good price. I have not played the AD60VT, but I did play the AD120VT. Is there a lot of difference besides just volume and saturation? In the past, the Fender 60W amps were way to loud for me. But I hear that the Vox power rating is not as loud.

Any opinions on if $399 is a good value for this amp?

I know that the used Flextone modeling amps continue to dive in price. I expect the same for the Vox, but by how much?

That is a great deal. If 60W is too loud, it also has 30W, 15W, and 1W settings.

I'm Pretty much...

a analog type of guy..but I wouldn't mind one of those, a sweet sounding amp. Price seems VERY resonable(are you sure??)..alot of amp for the $$..heck even if you just set the thing to AC-15 TB, and never did anything else, you would be in good shape.

This is one great sounding amp! However,I went through 3 of them ,(out of the box),in one week.First one went dead in less than 2 hours, second one the lights on the control panel went out,and the third (which by this time I decided maybe it was the 60w amp, decided to go to the 120) ,started crackling uncontrollably.By that time I decided Fender HR Deluxe was the way to go.I really love my Fender ,but that Vox sounded real nice.It just wasn't a reliable enough amp for me.I wish it was.Great tonal variety, but beware. Also if there is an issue that needs attention from Korg don't expect much help.I'm still waiting for a reply from my 3 emails.

People on the Vox board mention that some of the models are louder than others, and some don't have sufficient headroom for gigging. Remember, the old rule of thumb for SS amps is one tube watt for two Solidstate! :o

60 watts may not be enough for gigging with a loud band. Some even complain the 120 (which is two 60 watters together) doesn't project all that well.

Some people are deaf then. I can do small clubs in 2x15W mode, large clubs in 2x30W mode.

$349 in Plymouh Meeting, PA

I got one last week@ GC,new in the box for $349. For that kind of money it's hard to pass up. If I end up not liking it, I will just make a deck planter out of it. So far though it seems knid of cool.
