SF Princeton on ebay Germany

For anyone over here in Europe who is looking for a SF Princeton.
I just found one with a very good price (599 € BIN) on ebay Germany:

http://cgi.ebay.de/Fender-Princeton-...QQcmdZViewItem

I'm NOT affiliated with the seller, nor do I know him!

Just thought that this is a very good price (esp. with the PR Reissues selling in the 1000 € price range over here) + that it would be cool to see it in the hands of one of our TDPRI brothers.

I already have a phantastic sounding 1974 SF Princeton - otherwise I would have bought it immediately.

For all non-German speakers. In the description, the seller mentions that this is a 110 volts (non export) version of the amp. So you need a 220 volts transformer to run it over here.

Eddie, either get a transformer to plug it into, or change the power transformer in it! No problem either way, and not too expensive...

Cheers, Tim

Eddie, don't worry about the 110 Volts.
I've had a Blackface Princeton Reverb running with a transformer without any problems for years.
You can find those at conrad electronics for something like 30 €.

Found a cheap one here:

and a better one here:

Both of them should work. Just make sure that the transformer can handle at least 45 Watts.

I love the SF Princeton I just got (also on Ebay). I did put NOS 6V6 power tubes in there and found that the GT "Mullard-like" 12AX7 sounds pretty good in it.
Also consider getting a Weber replacement speaker.

Hey, I'm a pacifist!

If it had been a Princeton Reverb, I'd have bought it myself...

no worries roman, the guy, karl mayr, seem to be a nice person. he has just bought a whole bunch of blackfaces on the bay. i´ll keep you guys informed, how the deal is getting along.
i ordered this converter to get the amp running: http://cgi.ebay.de/USA-Spannungswand...QcategoryZ2774 6QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
hope things will go well and the princeton will not need repairs.....

Cool find - good you got it, Eddie.

I hope it's in good shape and we get to hear some clips of it.
