Melody tube amp from the 60's

A friend let me use this small tube amp for a week. After playing through solid state amps for the last 20 years, I was blown away by the tone of this Melody brand amp. It has me all inspired again!! Has anyone heard of this brand and have history on it? It was probably from the 1960's and I think it was made in Japan. The reverb and tremolo are both great and the amp is a perfect match for a Telecaster lead pickup.

It has all the twang and/or warmth you could want. The controls are just 1 volume and 1 tone, plus the reverb and tremolo knobs. I believe it has 2 8" or 10" speakers and is very light-weight. Now I have AAS for a small tube amp. I'll read through these threads and get some ideas for my future amp. Have you heard of this brand of amp?

Never heard of Melody. There was a ton of small companies selling guitars and amps back in the 60's so who knows who actually made it. Would love to see a picture of it.

There's nothing quite like a small low wattage tube amp. There's a lot of threads here on 'em as many members have at least one.

You are right....there were a lot of guitars and amps being sold in the sixties...I'm sure it will be hard to track this one down. I haven't heard a tremolo that good except on sixties rock records.
