10" speaker in stock Champ cab?

I've got a Weber 5F1 champ cab and was wondering if anyone has replaced the baffle with a 10" speaker Some other amp kits offer a 10' baffle as an option, so I assume a 10 will fit but also wonder about the 10" sound in this small cab. So... who has done it? Any mounting issues? How does it sound (I'm likely putting in a 10" Weber alnico signature)?

I had an early 70's Champ for a while, I carefully trimmed out the stock baffle for a 10" speaker; I didn't have to remove much material, since I overlaid & offset it on the 8" hole. I thought it made a big difference in the sound of the amp, and made it much more usable. I even gigged with it a few times & it worked very well. I tried both a Weber Sig 10A (alnico) & a Jensen MOD 10-35 (ceramic), and liked the sound of the Jensen a little better... it just had more punch & clarity. Now, I'd probably run an Eminence Copperhead or Ragin' Cajun, as I've become a fan of Emi speakers.

In a 70's silverface it should fit no problem. I'm thinking of doing it in a Tweed 5F1 replica champ, things look quite tight. Does anyone know if its possible in a Tweed champ?

Given how many 8" speakers won't fit in a 5F1... I'd buy a 5F2A cabinet just to give myself a little more breathing room. Some folks have reported that their Champs sounded even boxier once they crammed a bigger speaker in there.
