The thing needs reverb, better knob action, a bigger speaker and dark finish to make it.
Now, if they had used a 15-inch speaker...... that would be a decent table! "They don't last long!" indeed........ (^_^) Is anybody really gonna plunk down 1200 bucks for that cheapo IKEA finish? |

think it was ElectroHarmonix, (not positive..!!!)...but anyhow, there were some amps being made almost identical to that design back in the early/mid 70's...i played thru one back then, and remember being very un-impressed...it was badly underpowered and just plain and simple sounded "bad"....think the cost was $200 back then....
this thing may be better, who knows..???..but without reverb, i'll pass...the price?...i'll certainly pass .....

Ampeg had an upward facing amp which their sales literature described as producing a 'fountain of sound' (love that description). Same basic table-style design.
