Thanks to Ted Weber for a great JBL recone!
I have to give a quick shout out to Ted Weber and Brian Spane at the Weber shop. I sent in an old beat up JBL D130 for reconing. Decided to go with the 75 watt coil, cloth surround and paper dome. It took some time but the result is simply outstanding sounding. All the full, rich, punchy, present sound of a JBL without the harsh tinny top end of the aluminum dome. Thanks Ted and Brian! |

I have to chime in here and say kudo's to Ted as well for I have sent a pair of d-120's and a couple of jensen's to Weber to have reconed and they came back sounding as good if not better then before, now my question is since they moved and hired another reconer are the result's going to be the same? I have a pair of '67 jensen c12n's that need a recone and the "lead time could be as long as 6 weeks" according to the web site and I can think of no place better to send a pair of jensen's to be reconed other then Weber but I don't want to wait 6 weeks, anyone have recommendation's for reconers elsewhere?
