Cube 60 black panel astonishment!
Just played this amp at a gig and it was great. Competed with a fairly loud drummer without going much past 1/2 way and a really great approximation of a fender sound for a £150 SS amp.
No point to this post other than I had to share how happy I am now Ive found my true love. Now would someone please tell me I need to sell it and put the money toward a £1000 tube amp.

Happy it worked for you !
I once took mine to a gig. I was not happy at all. I prefer my 1000$ tube amp ! I play music for the pleasure of others but also for mine ! I take the cube as a back up just in case... Quote:

Hi, Steve. After all our deliberations I'm really pleased to hear that the Cube works as well for you as it does for me under gig conditions – I'd have been a bit embarrassed otherwise!
If you're going to be gigging a lot with this amp I'd recommend getting a cover for it. I've recently had one made by Roqsolid Powercovers (www.amplifiercoversonline.com), which is beautifully put together, has an unbeatable guarantee and fits perfectly. It'll cost around thirty quid all-in; worth every penny. PM me for further details. Edit: I've just spotted that they're offering a 20% discount until 20th May.

I really must try a Cube 60. I used to have a Microcube and that was good, but I really like pushing more air (even for practice).
I have (amongst others) an old Session 1x12 combo, and that too does a good Fender clean tone, works well with a Blackstone Overdrive too. You guys in the UK can pickup an old Session for a great price... (You will probably need to clean the pots & switches though)

The old 80s Sessionette was a great amp in its day - I've had at least six of them and I believe Steve, the OP, has one too - but in my opinion the Cube 60 has a much bigger, fuller sound and is a better and more versatile performer overall.
