My Blues Custom 30 Video at YouTube
I put up an 'Impromptu Blues Jamm' at YouTube for the peeps who want to hear the Epiphone Blues Custom 30. It's the worst jam we did, but I don't want to post any of our 'original' music for fear of someone stealing it.
Anyhow....the woman in the video never played an instrument in her life...I "spot taught" her a simple rhythm 10 minutes before we started recording (she didn't change keys...that was too hard to grasp quickly). **I kept the amp on the Clean Channel, and it was in A/B mode. In the beginning I was using a Tube Screamer, but settled on the Amps sound. The amp's Master Volume was at 3 1/2 (it's a LOUD amp for a basement). My Guitar: Jackson DX10D SuperStrat (alder) with Dimarzio Super Distortion in bridge, Dimarzio Air Classic bridge pickup in the neck. After a couple minutes I switched to Single Coil, as it sounds GREAT with this amp (imo). (It was recorded with my Hitachi DZ-HS300A camcorder with the built-in stereo mic) Here ya go (it's apparent we're not professionals...if i practice 5 minutes a month it's a lot. we just like to jam |

Nice! You're right about the vol. on those amps; I was surprised. Were you using the 15w or 30w setting? I quieted mine down a bit (and cleaned it up some) by replacing the 12AX7's in v1 and v3 with 12AY7's. Still plenty loud, though.
