Paging BillM

There's a guy over on TGP amp board trying to get ahold of you to get his Blues Jr. modded. He's not getting through via e-mail.

Why don't you PM him instead of coming in the forum and screaming?

I've had some issues with my spam filter lately, as well as my ISP. I recently got over 100 emails that had somehow been held at the server. All but a few were Blues Junior-related and I haven't worked through them all yet.

I feel yer pain. Recently, my email address made it onto one of those "send" lists, so I had a bazillion "Error: Message could not be delivered" emails in my inbox. Apparently, I had been trying to sell replica Rolex watches and male enhancement products to a lot of people while I was busy at work that day.

Thankfully, the activity has cooled off again, so either my spam filter is blocking those return messages more effectively, or the spammers have moved on to pretending to be someone else.

That was you?! I still haven't received my pills, I mean my Rolex, yet. Has it shipped?

I'm still waiting for my change back from the former Vice President of Kenya for that money order I deposited for him!

No you aren't! I am! I've had the same issues with my filter, too -- stuff I don't want coming in, stuff I need vanishing or showing up days after it was sent; along with emails I've sent that don't make their destination. And people wonder why I'm a bit of a Luddite.

Wait, I though *I* was the sole heir to share in the fortune of the long lost treasure of kombuwhatsu!

A "PM" would've been better.

+1

A "PM" would have been better alright, but there are nicer ways to tell people that than to accuse them of screaming.

If you aren't BillM, then the message obviously was not intended for you... so why would someone who wasn't BillM bother to look at it, get offended, and then get snarky at the guy who posted it?

Is this what they mean about some mean spirits beginning to creep in to the TDPRI?

Yes

There are a lot of people who still need to learn to lighten up and "drop it."

Don't sweat the petty things, and don't pet the sweaty things.

Are you BillM? Then why are you in here?

As "snarky" as it may have sounded, it was a suggestion to help him find BillM. Do you really think this is the best way, or is PM more direct?

Mean spirits indeed, why don't you drop it and go mind some other thread. I know I'm going to.
