Need help finding source of poping sound

Thanks for takin’ a look. I was just gifted a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue Amp today and it has this intermittent popping sound. Almost like a metronome but it’s speed drifts a little like a pacemaker or something. I’ve eliminated any external interference. (Cell phones, dimmer switches, blah blah blah) Again, it works fine sometimes and other times you turn on the power or take it off standby and you got pop. Adjusting knobs and switching channels doesn't seem to change it. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on what it might be.

It's probbly a leaking capacitor discharging. May even be the one attached to the power switch. All you can do is loosen the earth end of each and check to see if there's DC voltage present. It's a tech job. If the amp is under warranty Fender shoiuld manage it.

Are you sure it isn't picking up from a nearby Quartz, battery operated clock?

Dacious thanks for the help. At least now I have a place to start and Casterway I didn't think of the Quartz clock thanks for that one, but the tempo of the popping seems like it would drift slightly so I don't think it's interference.

cell-phone? I can always tell when my cell-phone is about to ring because my radio starts making distinctive popping sounds about 30 seconds before the phone goes off. Sometimes the radio makes those sounds when the phone is nowhere nearby, so I figure the antenna-masts are sending out some kind of signal.
