JJ tubes. Highly recommended...

I,ve put all new JJ tubes into my HRD. They are a great improvement to my amp. The clean channel is much "cleaner", brighter and more punchy and the drive channel is much smoother, not harsh as it was, and much more usable at low settings. These tubes are in all aspects a huge improvement from the original FAT tubes

I second that...

Bob at J.J.'s does a good job matching tubes, which is nice for set-bias amplifiers. They are also a great improvement in sound over the Svetlana and Sovtek tubes.

I have been spanking the amp for 3 hours now and it's a complete transformation really!!! I love those tubes. One thing I had to do though. I had to rebias the amp. The HRD has adjustable bias voltage and when I put in the new tubes it started to give out a pulsing sound, almost like a heartbeat to the speaker. It was rebiased from 50V -60V and after that; PERFECT!!!!

What kind?

I hear loads of great reports about them here, would they be okay in a 2002 Twin Amp? What type are they ?

They defently have tubes for the Twin Amp. I have 6L6GC and ECC83S (same as 12AX7) in my HRD. Check out their web site at http://www.eurotubes.com/ :)

Another Vote for Eurotubes

I have two amps that I have retubed with Bob's recommedations. My '94 Blues DeVille never sounded better and a recently acquired Peavey Classic 50 head is now a winner. Call Bob, he's a nice guy and will do you right.
