Cube 60 - Replacing plastic jack socket?

Like others I've fallen victim to the plastic input jack socket problem on my otherwise very satisfactory Roland Cube 60. I've fixed it temporarily but it's a known weakness and I'd like to replace it with a proper metal socket.

The original is attached to a small PCB with three wires going to the main board. Can anyone tell me which wire goes where on a regular switching jack socket? Also whether the PCB itself is essential. Thanks for all useful responses.

Hope you get an answer to this Tony. Im circling a cube 60 ever closer at the moment, and my finger twitches closer to the buy button everytime i read a thread here.

Don't let it put you off, Steve - it's a bloody great little amp. I bought mine as a bit of a toy but I've gigged it a number of times with very satisfying results indeed. That slight design weakness, if known about, can be guarded against by using a right-angled jack plug at the amp end of the guitar lead and giving it a turn around the stowage hooks on the back. My fault I didn't take my own advice...

I'm very tempted to get the 100-watt bass version as well.
