Re-clothed my Super
Just thought I'd post a pic of the new cloth I put on my 68 super reverb. When I bought it 9 or 10 years ago from the original owner, he had put black grill cloth on it, and I left it that way till now.
Anyway, it's 40 now so I put the new cloth on the other day. It looks a lot more like it should now. Much better than the black.

Thanks guys.
You're absolutely right 4strings...It's twice as loud now when it's turned off, and my car and truck both go faster too:D Actually it sounds great with or without the right colour cloth. Regretably I didn't rig up any internal beam-blocking apparatus, since it came to mind post-op which is a drag, but if I ever decide it really needs to be done, I'll spend another $35 and recloth again. The aged silverface cloth looks real good, but when I did the recloth, I found remnants of the original cloth around a couple inner corner edges under where the drip edge goes; which turns out to be black/white/turqoise and not the aged black/white/light blue that I got from ampwares. All I ever got to look at was the black it had. Who knew?? :) Anyway, You'd have to look real close, and the only telltale sign is the slight difference in light blue on the cloth to a more turqoise super reverb amp colour on the faceplate. Very minor. Ignorance is bliss; and I just HAD to look at the website now didn't I?? AAArrrggg haha. Ok....maybe the truck still goes the same speed, but I'm stickin' with the car and the amp. Cheers

I've been looking for someone who owns a Super Reverb.
Could you please measure the width of the chassis for me? I've got a Bassman 10 chassis, and I'm wondering whether it will fit in a SR cab. |

Mr Hankey; The faceplate dimensions are 23 1/2" x 1 3/4".
Telenerd; Sorry, no idea but there's gotta be someone out there who makes repro stuff. It seems you can get most everything else. I got my cloth from Ampwares, although if I remember correctly it took a long time to show up. They have a lot of repro stuff, but if they happen to have it for you, don't be in a huge rush to get it quickly.
