First Post - Greetings from Kansas City

Hi, thanks for all the info and interesting topics...... I've been reading your posts for the last month or so. Reading all of the amp build post has got me thinking I should pull my old Alamo amp out of the closet and replace the blown speaker. Here where run aground, the speaker isn't marked and researching my Alamo Model 2562 never gets me very far. Best I can tell from the tubes is it's some form of a Fender Champ, 6v6gta, 12ax7, 5y3gt. The output transformer has two lugs one marked 8 and the other marked 16. The 8 inch speaker is connected to the lug marked 16. I'm guessing this means the speaker is 16 ohm? Can anyone confirm the correct speaker for this amp? Or is there a way to figure out the correct impedance value?

Thanks again,
Vince
