'65 Princeton Reverb Question

I have an opportunity to buy a '65 Princeton Reverb. It has a "zip-cord" type power cable. Is this common for these amps? The seller claims it has never been touched.

Yep - the smaller fender amps used the zip-cord.

What's a zip cord? A 2 prong plug.

Zip cord is the lamp cord style (two insulated strands that you can "zip" apart) as opposed to having the wires (two or three) enclosed in a round, outdoor extension cord style of insulation.

Amen - replace it with a grounded 3-prong!

You can keep the old cord for "vintage" value if you ever resell the amp, but for the sake of your own health put a grounded power cord on the Princeton. The risk of shock is just too great otherwise.

Really. Soon.
