Post Your Favorite Fender Superchamp SCXD Settings
DOBRO Simulation
1. Voicing - Try settings 1, 4, 6, 15 (jazz) and 16 (acoustic). You need a clean bright voice and these settings sound best to my ear. Since a DOBRA is an acoustic guitar setting 16 works really well. To my ear settings 1 and 15 also work really well. 2. Bass - Try from 1-3. You have to cut the bass out to get that tinny DOBRO sound. 3. Treble - Try from 7 to 10. You have to exagerate the trebble to simulate the DOBRO sound. 4. FX Select - Level 7 to 10. Exagerate the chosen effect. 5. Effect - Vibratone. I prefer the first vibratone setting with the slow rotating baffle to simulate the DOBRO. 6. Gain - about 7. 7. Volume - anywhere from 3 to 5 or as loud as you and your neighbors can handle. I play through a telecaster and to my ear the middle pickup switch position sounds best but the neck only position is good as well. I max the trebble on the tone knob and volume knob. Let me know if you agree this sounds somewhat like a DOBRO and if you like it. I jammed a bunch of songs using this setting and the guys thought it sounded cool. |

Organ Simulation.
If you're already using one of my DOBRO simulation settings above simply change the effect from Vibratone to pure Chorus and IMO it makes your guitar sound quite a lot like an organ. I think the best organ simulation is with amp voicing 1, 15 and 16. Let me know what you think of these two settings and if you have a favorite or cool SCXD setting post the details in this thread.
