Warmenfat 2-Watt Tube Amp, $299
Has anyone checked one of these out yet? Looks like head to head competition for the Zvex Nano, but more versatile.

I bet it sounds good, but for $300, I'd build my own! That Emery Sound one is beautiful. - Scott Last edited by Scott S; March 23rd, 2008 at 01:59 PM. Reason: I have ADD. |

The Rainbow Electronics one looks interesting but I noticed it runs on 12v.
Puts it in the pre amp catagory for me. Like a tube effects dealio. The Emery micro has been on my wish list for a long time. If I think about it too long, I'll be selling stuff off to get one. 7 bills is a little steep for my impulse buying habits. |

It's not necessarily 12v internally... probably uses a step-up transformer inside to generate plate voltage. But since it doesn't require a lot of current/power, using an external 12vac adapter gets around all sorts of UL listing and safety problems.
