Ridicalus..

That is amazing, I've never seen/heard technique quite like that. And he is miles and light years past anywhere I'll ever get to. BUT, it seems to me that he's in a rut. I mean he does that fast riff right hand fret hammer thing over and over. Like twice would have been fine. What else can he do. Can he hold a soulful note?

But a guy who has even wilder right hand (and left hand style) is Tuck Andress. And I think his playing has a lot more variation and soul. He is also very very generous with technique advice. Check out: http://www.tuckandpatti.com/pick-finger_tech.html

I'd be more impressed if he wasn't so sloppy and if he could play in time.

Tuck Andress!

The reason I started playing guitar! I went to see a local band that was warming up Tuck and Patti (whom I'd never heard of). They took the stage, Tuck started playing and my jaw hit the floor and didn't close the whole show. I've emailed him back and forth a couple times and he gave me a couple free lessons and tips over the net. Just a great guy. I've seen him and his wife several times. Great, great stuff. I've got his video but it's still way over my head.

I know the feeling - Tuck

Only he makes me want to throw my guitar in the trash and bury my head in shame. Well, not really, but you know what I mean. Silly me, I started playing bass upon hearing Pastorious. Naive. Impossible.

Anyway, I'm happy to live on the same earth with fantastic players and people like Tuck!
