Maple fretboards?

It just dawned upon on me, why do acoustics only have rosewood fretboards?

EDIT: the only, it makes more sense

Some of them do have maple fretboards, but itīs very rare. I donīt know why really..

I've never seen a maple board, and I never thought to ask the question. Now its got me wondering.

I guess for the same reason Leo Fender introduced RW fretboards: maple tends to stain when the the wear on finish exposes the raw wood. I've seen a few (rare) all maple made dreads anyway
