New Acoustic/Electric...kind of long

Well I have been wanting an acoustic/electric for a long while now and have been checking out the Martin DCX1E at GC along with watching some other Martins on Ebay. Most of the Ebay listing were out of my price range and I hate buying a guitar I cant/havent played.

So anyway, Im at GC Sunday afternoon and was playing the DC1XE again when I noticed an Ibanez AW100ECE hanging on the wall with a rather low price. I thought, what the heck I will try it. Wow, pretty nice sound, action was a bit high though. I told the salesman this and he said, "well let me see what I can do". He's gone for a bit, enough time to try a couple of others, then brings it back and says, "try it now". Wow, lots better. I plug it in and start back playing again. I have to say this guitar really impressed me. Priced at $330 clearance, half the money as the Martin. I played it for quite awhile through a couple of different amps but really liked the Fender Acoustasonic 30DSP. I am really liking this setup.

Had cash in my pocket ($700) and had planned on buying the Martin. Out of the blue I tell the guy, "I will give you $575 for the Fender amp and the Ibanez. He starts punching in on the computer and sighing loudly, "I can do $620 for both out the door and throw in a couple sets of strings". I think and play it more. "Ok I said" thinking that the $620 will obviously have tax on top of that, wrong! He rings it up, "Ok that will be $620 even". Wow, I thought that was a pretty good deal! What do you guys think?
Regardless, got it all home, new strings on it, a little more truss adjustment, I am happy with it!
Anyone else have one of these Ibanez AW100ECE?

Sounds like you got a nice deal so Congrats. The key is you played it before buying and did compare it to some others. I would say you did OK.

Either you will love or hate the Fishman. Seems there are few who are middle of the road about them.
