I got to buy a guitar for my day job, last friday, so I tried the lower priced ones, and found this pretty nice accoustic. Its a Walden DT 560, made in china, costs about 300 bucks. Seems like a nice quality guitar for the money

, made with care to the craft and materials. Anybody tried one?

I personally think that the guitars manufactured in China are just dreadful...I have yet to play one that works. In my opinion, the best low-budget guitars are the Takamines (Korea). I also still have my very first guitar, a 11-year-old cheap R300 Ibanez made in Japan; it's unbelievable good. Every time someone plays with it, they'd go "this guitar is great! an Ibanez?, interesting....".
No, I'd say that if you like it and wanna keep it, then go ahead!. Sometimes one may find a gem under the dirt.....

It makes me wonder who's making Carvin's "Cobalt" series.

Hey, the latest I've heard about Chinese factories making guitars hasn't been bad at all. The Ibanez Artcore series review in GP says it's from a Chinese factory that had never made musical instruments before, and GP gave it an Editor's Pick, FWIW.

It has got a solid spruce top, rosewood sides and bottom, nitrolaquer, scalloped bracing, bone nut and bridge material,rosewood saddle, chrome cast tuners. It´s light and resonant, yet feels solid. Feels like a much more hi quality thing than a student model. Maybe it all falls apart in half a year

Oh yeah forgot to say it intonates well and plays like butter. Maybe they got it right.

It seems to me that you've found a connection with that guitar. As I said, if you like it, forget about the name and the price and get it!

It´s a nice guitar for pickin´and it hangs on the wall at work, ready for use when needed.
