No idea....
I personally think that the guitars manufactured in China are just dreadful...I have yet to play one that works. In my opinion, the best low-budget guitars are the Takamines (Korea). I also still have my very first guitar, a 11-year-old cheap R300 Ibanez made in Japan; it's unbelievable good. Every time someone plays with it, they'd go "this guitar is great! an Ibanez?, interesting....".
No, I'd say that if you like it and wanna keep it, then go ahead!. Sometimes one may find a gem under the dirt.....

Hmmmmm...
It makes me wonder who's making Carvin's "Cobalt" series.
Hey, the latest I've heard about Chinese factories making guitars hasn't been bad at all. The Ibanez Artcore series review in GP says it's from a Chinese factory that had never made musical instruments before, and GP gave it an Editor's Pick, FWIW. |

Best cheap accoustic I ever played
It has got a solid spruce top, rosewood sides and bottom, nitrolaquer, scalloped bracing, bone nut and bridge material, rosewood saddle, chrome cast tuners. Itīs light and resonant, yet feels solid. Feels like a much more hi quality thing than a student model. Maybe it all falls apart in half a year

There you go!
It seems to me that you've found a connection with that guitar. As I said, if you like it, forget about the name and the price and get it!
