Anyone here have one of these guitars? I am thinking on a EG361SC, played it only for a few seconds, would have liked to got more time on it, price is ok, so now the GAS is attacking me. Any thoughts would be appreciated...thanks

I have an EG40C which is a mini-jumbo from the G-Series. I got it second hand and like you I got it for a great price. Sounds decent enough when plugged. I found that it sounds great with 12's on it. Takamine is a quality guitar maker and they seem pretty consistent in this. Of course it'd be better if you could spend more time with the guitar before buying but it sounds like a win/win.

Is this one new or used? I have an older ('98) EG10c, which is a cedar topped/m'hog sides & back cut away A/E that is just a great axe. Cost me like $400 US back then (w/o a case). Not too sure if the new, lower end G series are quite as good as they used to be.

Have owned 4 Taks, and the worst one was a G-series dreadnought I bought new for $250 at Mars Music. It had the tuner preamp. It would make a good starter guitar, but Tak has some better ones you can get on eBay for the same price. Just because mine sucked doesn't mean this one will...the lower end Taks don't seem to be as consistent as the higher end. I had a GB-7C (garth model) and the guitar was awesome, but the digital EQ sounded awful through any board.
