Collings Goes Electric

http://www.austinchronicle.com/issue...c_feature.html

Check out today's Austin Chronical interview with ole Bill hisself about what's new at Collings Guitars. He's bringing some surprises to NAMM.

Good piece!

We're a Collings dealer and I just got the prices for the electrics.

These guitars will probably shake things up pretty good in the industry.

Bill Collings has quite a reputation as a superb guitar builder..

I saw them at NAMM. I'm a huge Collings fan, and I would definitely consider these electrics if I was in the market for a Gibson-esque guitar.

The Collings D2H is a cannon comparatively. I'm using it in a 4-pc./ 3 vocals bluegrass band where cutting through the mix is the easy part-- you need a multi-toned, dynamic instrument to bring out dynamics and still serve as rhythmic pulse.

That's what the D2H is all about. Great in the studio, too (of course!).

The Guilds (D55, F40 and D25) are wonderful recording instruments and will be my go to guitars for solo or singer/guitarist performance.

It's all good, Bill.
