Taylor GS

Tried one today and loved it. A beautiful guitar, both visually and tonewise. Has no pickguard. Does anyone have one? Will the body get scratched without the guard?

Great for finger-picking

I bought one of these new Taylor guitars 3 months ago. It has cedar top and mahogany back and sides. I love it! It has a big tone and still has good mids making individual notes distinct.

I've played finger-style for 40 years, mostly classical. I've tried all sorts of steel-string acoustics attempting to adapt my classical techniques. I've had a few top quality guitars from Martin, Lowden, Takamine,..., and tried a whole bunch in the shops. Of all these guitars, two are by far the best for my purposes: My Taylor GS and my Martin OM-28V that I bought a month ago...

I'm not worried about scratches, that's for the flatpickers to worry about I guess.
