Acoustic Relics??
DON'T SHOOT ME!!!!!!!! Just curious if it's been done!! I'm sitting here playing an old Gibson SJ, reading about tele relics and such. I look up on the wall and see my shiny new OM-18V, and think "Gee, if only it looked like this SJ does........"
But it seems much more "against the law" but it shouldn't be, should it? I dunno. Opinions? (not that i'd ever do it)

I'm sure someone somewhere has done it. Probably it's been done well and horribly bad too. I just got a Guild that I don't baby at all and it's got its share of dings and scrapes so it's kidna a relic I guess. I hear it's been done in the violin industry for centuries.... different strokes you know.

I could buy a 1930's parlor guitar.
You could not possibly consider it, NOT a relic. But if I AM holding it. It would look factory fresh. Truthfully, I'm so worn, I make Keith Richards look good!! Even the mirrors, won't caste my reflection. No vampire referances please. A relic is in the eye of the beholder. |

A relic is in the eye of the beholder? I know there's many ways of defining relic, but can't we all agree for the sake of not nit-picking that a "relic" when posted on a tele site is a new guitar worn to look old???
