Experiences with E.M. Shorts?

Especially online experiences. They seem like a decent outfit, based on some emails anyway.

I did have one glitch with them that was worked out. A few years back I bought my NOS Nocaster from them. The had - by far - the best price. Anyway, I got a quote and then at delivery time, they wanted to charge me a couple of hundred $$ more. I asked on the Fender Forum if this was improper....which caused them to receive an onslaught of hate emails and phone calls from sympathetic guitar playing surfers.

I turned out it was a misunderstanding. Apparently, there was a price increase and the person processing my order didn't look at MY quoted price...just the current price. After a phone call or two, the entire thing was worked out. I later posted a retraction on the board to save them any more grief.

Anyway, the long story - I'd buy from them again as they have very good prices and the managers I dealt with to resolve the issue were very helpful once they saw what happened. However, as with any business transaction, things can get fouled up - so you need to stick to your guns.

Bought a White Falcon and a custom made case (both at a great price) there a few years ago. I priced another piece there earlier this year for a friend and had the same results, easy transaction and great price.
