Dead spot on my fretboard.
I have an inexpensive Classical guitar, that with the exception of on problem is a great sounding and great playing guitar. On the D string, 5th fret, its totally dead, no note, just a nasty, buzzy, "HONK", when I hit it. I don't want to invest a lot of money into the guitar, because its a Cheapo, but, I'd still like to be able to use it.
Anybody know of a quick fix to get rid of this horrible sound? |

Well, sounds like the frets aren't level. If it's only one, you could fix it yourself with a jeweler's file and some emery cloth. Otherwise, you're looking at having a tech level the frets.
