Money is no object: which acoustic do you buy?

You've just inherited a billion dollars and someone puts a gun to your head and says, "buy the acoustic guitar of your dreams!" What do you buy?

Flat top, steel string is what I'm aiming at, but by all means go nuts.

A 1927 Martin 000-45. It belongs to a friend. Best guitar I've ever played by a pretty substantial margin, and I've played a lot of truly great ones.
It's almost identical to the one on the far right.
I could, of course, spend a considerable portion of that money on a few more guitars to fill out the collection...

The outside the box answer: I'd give Macarthur grant money to some of my favorite living guitar builders--notably my friends Wayne Henderson and TJ Thompson--have them build me a perfect guitar or two, and let them take the money and buy a few nice toys for themselves and give the rest to the charity of their choice.

I'm diggin the new Gibson blues king but if money was no object I'd buy a 1930's Gibson L-00 in the best condition I can find

I'd do a Breedlove factory tour and have one custom made :)

I would have a custom slope shoulder dread made from Bill Bonanzinga or Chris Bozung.

+1 for the 000-45.

For me it would have to be an Eric Clapton 000-28EC...

Also on the list would have to be an Eric Clapton 000-ECHF Bellezza Nera

In the real world I have a Recording King RO-127 which is the closest I will probably ever get to either of those guitars...

I might have to go with one of these really weird Versoul guitars:

http://www.destroyallguitars.com/ver...oustic-guitars

there's something about a solid-color top with natural sides and back that appeals to me even though my heart is telling me it's ugly!

Martin 000-15. I've owned much more expensive acoustics, and none of them sounded as good as the 000-15 to me. I suppose, just to spend more money, I might have Dana Bourgeois make me a copy of a 000-15 with a slightly fatter, soft V neck profile.

Some would laugh, but I would buy me another deep bodied Ovation like I have now. It is my ultimate acoustic guitar. I have played high dollar martins, gibsons, and taylors. For the money I would trade, but as far as a playing guitar, I would not.

I'd use some of my billion to pay off my buddy Tim's mortgage in Los Gatos, CA. While I was arranging this, I'd drive over to Santa Cruz a few times, to see if they could make me something sweeter than an HD35.

With a billion, I'd order an Olsen, Linda Manzer, or a Santa Cruz Tony Rice model, something really swanky!

This!!!! Also since $$ is no object, I'm getting 2 more guitars:

The Martin Norman Blake D-18 Model with 1 3/4" nut, slotted headstock, 12-fret neck (this is a guitar I have actually played and it was just magic in terms of tone/playabilty)

and

The Gibson Nick Lucas model that Dylan played in the mid-'60's - the rosewood variation

So if someone could just send me the $$, we will be all set!

8 trillion dreadnought guitars in the world, but that one is extra cool. Love the neck on it too.

I don't even know the Olsen models - that's how out of touch I am!

I'd go for a 0018 Aura or Golden Era. I'd buy new too - I'd be afraid to have a pre war Martin, and intimidated to play it. Even with a billion dollars.
