Cost of Tacoma PR18LTD new in 98/99?
I am looking at a Tacoma PR18LTD parlor-size guitar (actually, it seems bigger than a typical parlor guitar and is definitely deeper, 4 3/4 inches). It has a solid Sitka spruce top and laminated Brazilian rosewood sides. It is absolutely beautiful, plays and sounds great. The store is asking $950 for it, which seems a little high to me. From what I have gathered from Harm-Cent. posts, it was a limited run of 150, made in 1998 and 1999. Can anyone tell me what it cost new at that time, what they think of this price, etc.? It looks brand new and the store didn't say anything about it being used, but how could it be that old and still be new, unless it's been floating this store/chain's inventory for some time? Oh well, any help would be appreciated.
