ISO an old acoustic arrangement
This may be a long shot but here goes-
I'm looking for a solo acoustic arrangement of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". The hard part is finding just the right one. Going back some years (mid 70s iirc) a buddy of mine played a very beautiful rendition of this selection. He performed it finger style with lots of harmonics as well as forced harmonics, especially in the bridge section. This wasn't his arrangement, but I can't recall if he learned it from a record or if there was sheet music for it. Alas, I don't even remember who the guitarist was that created this splendid arrangement. So the question is, does anyone have any knowledge about this or where I might find either the chart or the recording? Yes, I've tried googling but apparently I'm not entering the right search data or something. After all these years I never forgot how beautiful that arrangement was and I've always wanted to learn how to play it. If you can help me find it I'd be very grateful. TIA

I have a collection of about 30 or so versions of OTR . . . wide range of artists/styles . . . not sure, but one of them might be one of them is similar to what you're after . . . I'll pm you later with a list . . . includes a lovely acoustic version by Dave Grisman and Martin Taylor though that's probably not the one you're looking for.

One of the great things about TDPRI is that there are many folks here that are happy to pay it forward, even to pay it forward in advance. People helping people out, from the important to the mundane, is what makes for a better world. So I am happy to be able to help out, or at least try to.
