simon & patrick NGD
hey ya,ll , my wife is a sailor on research vessel and ends up in some neat locales . i miss her when shes gone and try not to waste time when shes home. last week she returned from a ten day trip that was supposed to have been four days . needless to say it was one of those trips where lots went wrong on the home front and i could have used a hand putting out fires. on the day i went down to pick her up from the bus ( the ship broke down and was left in quebec for repairs so they bussed the crew home to halifax) i was tired and more than ready to see her . she un loaded all her gear from the bus and then went back for one more load which turned out to be a lovely acoustic guitar w/ HSC, its a simon and patrick songsmith in burgendy finish and its a beauty , it only cost $300, cdn but plays better than some axes in the $1000 plus range that ive tried and plays like a dream, these guitars are readily available in our area but it was really cool to get one as a surprise from my honey ( shes such a keeper). S&P'S are made in quebec by godin and are an amazing value and great players. the fit and finish is perfect and im sure this one will age very well. this brings my collection up to 16 guitars both acoustic and electrics and i know a good guitar when i play one. any way im very happy and recommend you try one of these guitars if you get the chance......peace

Congrats on the new guitar ( and more importantly, getting to spend time with your wife! ) daddyo. Indeed, S&P's are very nice guitars. I've had a few in my hands that were just great. Enjoy!

Congratulations! My 12 string is a Simon Patrick so I know how happy you are. Not just the best value for the money in that price range, but good guitars period.
