Just thinking out loud...a compressor on an acoustic?
Just curious if anyone has ever put a compressor pedal on their acoustic before the amp?
Good idea? Bad? Just curious

I have a Menatone JAC compressor on my little acoustic-electric pedalboard. I love it. It has a ton of headroom & is not a super squasher, so it's perfect for acoustic. Adds a bit of 'sparkle' to the high end, but very subtly & musically; I'm not a fan of what most stompbox comps do to the high end, so it wouldn't make the cut if it didn't sound nice. Expensive though. I tried a MXR Dyna Comp & the little black Maxon pedal w/ acoustic-electrics, & those just didn't fly for me. I like having a comp for acoustics for a couple reasons... one, you can match your level for finger picking to that of your strumming... and two, I really can't get slide parts to work for me on acoustic-electric without a comp.

So it might be worth trying
After setting on the compressor of choice for my tele, I just happened to have a couple of extra compressors left over. I just might try this now.
