Help! Nut on the loose!!!

Last Saturday I purchasd an Epiphone Masterbilt Acoustic. I picked it up and could not put it down so it had to go home with me. On Sunday I begin changing the strings. When I let all the tension out of the strings, the nut falls off. It just falls off. I inspect it and find it has never been glued to the neck, no residue, nothing. So, I figure I better glue it on this weekend, My question is what type of glue to use. I was planning on using Elmers Wood Glue, but the nut is not wood, so now I'm thinking something like Guerilla Glue. Anybody got a suggestion?

elmers will work just fine, just make sure the nut is properly centered when you glue it. light tension on the strings will hold it in place while the glue dries.

Just use a small drop..You might want to remove it some day..

It might have been glued at the factory because all you want to do is use a tiny spot of glue.

What everyone else said, but you can even dilute it a bit with water.

Those are great guitars by the way. Good luck getting your nut together.
