Crack along string pins

I have an old Fender F-35 that has been my only acoustic guitar for more years than I care to count. Recently, a crack has developed in the bridge, running through the pin holes. Is there any way to repair this myself, or will I have to take it to an expert? (I'm not much of a woodworker, FWIW) I realize the repair costs will probably be more than the guitar is worth, but like I said, it's my baby and I don't want to retire it.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Justin

you might get lucky and find it's covered under warranty (they could be sticklers for a receipt, maybe not). I've had good luck using factory authorized repair centers for Fender, Martin & Gibson. Its not a DYI unless your very talented IMHO. good luck

Thanks for the info!

Yeah, I doubt I could ever pull off the warranty. I got it at a pawn shop way back in the 80's. And it's not an expensive guitar by any means, but it was my first real guitar. I'll give Piccolos a call.
Thanks again for the addresses!

Put some lemon oil on it and keep it in a humidified environment for a while. It may close up some.
