Anyone else have one of these?.......

It's an Epiphone "Elvis Tribute" acoustic electric. This is really one fine guitar and plays like a dream. It's set up for acoustic leads with very low action and light gauge strings. I bought it originally as I was playing with an Elvis impersonator and it looked good on stage. It has a replica of his signature on the headstock and his facial image on the pearl pickguard. It's basically the same guitar as the Hummingbird or Dove, I'm not sure which but it's one helluva guitar which looks, sounds, and plays great.....JH in Va.

You're right about Ralph rulin'............

I dig him so much that I've got an 8th pedal on my steel that don't do anything except raise the 4th E string to F# for some of his licks.....JH in Va.

..would that be to the left of your "A" pedal ( like where a "Franklin pedal would be? )

That is a pretty cool guitar, but it's not like either a Hummingbird or a Dove. Those are square-shouldered drednaught styles. That one looks like a jumbo with a cutaway. Is it a jumbo size?

You're correct, it is more like a Jumbo........

I looked at one of those in Guitar Center and it is the same shape.......

Steelpick'in.......No, my 8th pedal is right where it should be which is to the left of the volume pedal. It's used with the right foot as Ralph plays with both feet all the time and I've been doing that for awhile now too. My pedal one isn't the Franklin pedal. I have what I call the "Brumley" pedal in that it raises my 7th string F# to G# and lowers string 12 E to C#. I guess you could say I have a "West Coast" pedal on both ends of my pedal board.....JH in Va.

Cool guitar, and on another note. Gibson Hummingbirds have Mohaghany back and sides while Gibson Doves have Maple back and sides. I am not sure if Epiphone birds use the same types of woods or if they are just made to look like their bigger brothers. I have never actually picked any epi acoustics up or really read about them that much.
