Bender for an Acoustic?

I have heard of benders on acoustics. Do they work? Who makes them? Does it hurt the acoustic qualities of the acoustic after one is installed? Does it hurt the value of the acoustic?

Please share you thoughts and experiences on this subject.

Thanks

Darrell,

Check out Gene Parson's website. He does benderinstallations for accoustic guitars.

http://www.stringbender.com

The bender is fairly expensive, but probably well work chekcing out.

Take Care,
Tony T.

There was one out several years ago....I think it was called a ( don't quote me on this ) "Hicks Peg Bender. As I recall, it had a wire that ran from the tuning peg to the bridge. Don't know how they worked or if they are still available, but it was a pretty non-invasive way to add a bender to an acoustic or electric.
