Breedlove or Lowden
Hi
I'm looking for a acoustic guitar , so my electrics aren't so lonely anymore. I have seen , and played two brands . Both look good , both sound good , Breedlove hase more of an electric neck , Lowden a bit wider, but both very playable ( for my spoiled by CS Fender necks fingers). Can anyone shine a light on these brands. Both shops I visited had a rather bold opinion on the brand they didn't have. So help! |

I've heard stellar examples of both brands. Richard Thompson with a Lowden and Ed Gerhart with a Breedlove. Trust your insticts. Go play 'em both with your eyes closed and decide which guitar is best for you. How does it feel in your hands? Does it tickle your ears? Does it smell good? Which one inspires you to play it? Which one is the best tool for getting your music out of it? I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Lowdens are made around 15 miles from my home. Widely respected guitars, with some big name international artists on board.
Only played one, and at the price wasn't overly impressed. Lots of people can't be wrong though, and it seems like the old story of what it feels like in your own hands should prevail. |
