Is this really an Alvarez headstock???

I don't have a model number or any information about this guitar - other than pictures. All the Alvarez headstocks I remember seeing were much more simple (squared off) than this one.

Does anyone know if Alvarez made headstocks like this? If so, when (it doesn't look like current production)? Thanks. --Sean

Okay. The guy says it's an Alvarez 5083N. I think they were built in the 1990s, and the headstock is correct. I also think it's a "thin" dreadnought - whatever that means. Guessing it wouldn't sound real big unplugged. Does anyone have any experience with this guitar (or know what kind of money it's worth)?

Thanks, Jamon. After finding out the model number, I was able to find out a little bit about the guitar, but not much. Appreciate the link.

Hi, i have the same kind of alvarez you do, is it a thinbody, and an acoustic electric, mine is, and it was made for a very very very short time in 1981, they only made this headstock for maybe 4 months, that guitar is about a 1000$ guitar if it is in good shape

i have one that was bought originally from one of my friends, he bought it in 1981 and when back then next year for the same one, because he liked the sound, but the headstocks were different
