Washburn Timbercraft Acoustic/Electric
I found a Washburn D56SWCE locally for about half the MSRP (hardshell case included). I think it may be a closeout. Has anyone heard about or played one of these? It is solid spruce/solid rosewood with maple binding. I haven't played it yet, but am going to check it out this afternoon. I'm not really looking for electronics or a cutaway, but if it sounds good, I can compromise for the deal.

Nice looking all solid wood guitar! Sounds pretty good on this demo.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81JiNZ-EwoU I had a Washburn for about 6 years, till I traded it off when I bought my Martin. The guy at the shop tried to talk me out of it, as the trade in value barely exceede the sales tax, but I didn't listen. (banging my head) It was a very nice guitar with good, articulate tone across the board. Well constructed too. |
