SoCal Luthiers?

Anybody know a good one?

My 1979 Alvarez-Yairi DY74 has a crack in the top.

I know a fellow in the Antelope Valley that repairs stringed instruments. He repairs cracked spruce tops all the time. PM me if you want me to give you the info. He disassembles and rebuilds violins, cellos, etc. Might be worth a shot if he's close to you. I know he is very good at what he does.

Other than that, Norm's Rare Guitars in the SFV has the names of some good acoustic repair shops in that area.

Erics Guitars & Westwood music are both well known for good work and service.

I'd go to McCabes (3101 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica, CA 90405). Nice people, and they know lots about acoustics.
