Another Martin.

This is a composite of different views of my HD 40. Its the Tom Petty signature model, hence the phases of the moon fretboard, and a few other nice touches.

Here are two of mine. My 1978-1980 Larrivee L-09. Darn near 30 years old and it looks brand new. Killer guitar. The Seagull S-6 Folk is a very sweet little thing. Warm, rich and authoritive for it's size. You can also see the headstock a cool, old Supro archtop peeking through.

My 1980 Alvarez-Yairi DY-74 ... purchased by me, Ithaca, NY, 1981.

Note wooden pick guard, which I think is purty ... when I was shopping for a new acoustic back then, this beauty blew away the older ('70's) Martin D-18's I looked at for sound, playability and esp looks.

Sure, if you insist! This is a shot of my Leo Posch dreads...

Great looking D-18, how old is it? Looks to have aged really nicely. Bet it sounds great.

1973 - as mentioned in my tagline - after a while no one reads them anymore.

My 16th B-day present from my Dad who owns an early 60's 00-21.

It's still all original and plays very good. The action is a tad high, but since it has no truss rod I'll just play through it...........

Electric factory.. is that a '64, D35 or 45? I ask only because the bracing looks like a 35. Really cool J-200

Mis stroke of computer key, thanks for the heads up.
The J200 has a voice all it's own, not as loud as the Marquis or Longworth believe it or not.

Yes they certainly do. I've always liked them though, even though Martin was my holy grail. I used to play guitar with a guy who had one. My (at the time) Yamaha360 could cover him up playing unplugged, but man that was a sweet player, great action and a jewel like tone. Amped it was really sweet.

Santa Cruz D & Martin HD28

Here's my pair :) The Santa Cruz was built in 2006, RW back and sides features the "grey ghost" sitka top (200 year old dead standing tree, the wood was deemed perfectly cured in a natural setting). The Cruz has a very responsive top, and is a dream come true guitar. The HD28 was built and bought by me in 1994. The Martin holds up well next to almost anything :)

my handmade OOO guitar

solid sitka spruce top
solid east indian rosewood back and sides

I built this about ten years ago, got the parts in a boxed set from a retired luthier in Oregon. A friend who built custom furniture let me use his shop: joiner, planer, band saw, etc.

Has a sweet tone, the best part is my son and my daughter both learned to play guitar on this one.

My Guild GAD-30E - plays like a dream, sounds great (unplugged - haven't had a chance to use the Fishman pickup in it yet):

Sorry, don't have any pics of my two nylon string acoustics (a cheapo no-name, and an Ortega RCE131-SN).

So many gorgeous guitars! Here's mine. A Gibson j45. It's roughly ten years old now and sounds better every day. Best money I ever spent.

I actually just picked this up the other day. I was looking in the used room of a small town music shop and I see this beat up takamine. Complete with some serious dings all around, dirty as you know what, loose nut with a piece of a pick stuck under there to fix the action ('twas not pro work), with a rigged pickup screwed right on the top (gotta love that ) and an extra hole in the side for the jack.

I played it for a while and decided to get it. This is a low end Tak but I'm telling you guys the solid cedar top really makes this thing sound good. I've owned a D-18, three Larrivees and other great guitars and this thing impressed me. I cleaned it up inside (with rice) and out, treated the fretboard, resoldered the bad connection on the pickup jack and restrung it, I plan to make a new bone nut and saddle, put in some bone bridge pins, polish the frets and add a pickguard soon. Anyway, it is my main acoustic now and I thought I'd share:
Takamine GS330S

I've bragged about her in other forums....

Really nice guitar. I've played three of these models, and mine is the one that sounds the greatest! Not that I'm biased....
